Truck Bed Tie Downs

Along with the capacity to haul all your cargo, today’s pickup trucks can transport the family in style and comfort that rivals the finest sedans. This versatility has made pickups very popular with new vehicle buyers. Whether it’s bicycles, dirt bikes or camping gear for recreation, building and yard supplies from the home center, or generators, compressors and equipment for the job site, a pickup’s cargo box can handle it all. But while the cargo box may have the room, it may not have the tie down attachment points to make your gear secure and that’s where we can help.

Many newer pickups have some tie downs and anchor points in the bed, but depending on what you’re hauling, they may not be in the right place for ideal tie down or cargo net attachment, and safe and secure cargo transport. If you have an older truck, the only tie downs you’ll have are the ones you install yourself, because except for stake holes, older pickups usually didn’t come with any tie downs or anchors. We have a huge selection of tie downs, specially designed for specific areas of the truck bed, so you can get the ones that are perfect for securing whatever you’re hauling.

The stake body holes in the bed rails are commonly used for securing cargo, but just hooking the straps or nets in the stake pockets isn’t the best or safest method of attachment. You can create a much stronger attachment point with dedicated stake pocket anchors and you’ll find a wide variety from which to choose on our digital shelves. From basic, traditional ring-style tie downs to pop-up, push-up, and low profile, retractable tie downs, which when not in use leave your bed rails with a sleek look, we have styles to suit every truck and truck owner. All are strong and easy to install.

Stake pocket anchors work well – as long as the stake pocket locations work for securing your cargo. If bed rail height suits your cargo for the tie down strap or cargo net connection, but you want more freedom in points of attachment, we have moveable tie downs that can be clamped anywhere along the bed rails, no drilling required. We have clamp-on anchors with hooks, and anchors with adjustable strap and net mounts to obtain the optimal attachment angle. Our clamp-on cargo cleats are a rail-mount alternative that also gives you the option of securing your cargo with rope.

However, the bed rails are too high for properly securing some types of cargo, and attaching tie down straps there may not create enough tension to keep the load in position. Tie downs mounted to the bed walls and/or bed floor are the solution and our assortment includes styles that are sure to meet your needs. Some trucks have existing holes in the bed walls and floor for easy installation, and we have tie downs designed for these applications, including models with retractable rings. On other trucks drilling will be required. In addition to standard anchors that protrude from the surface, we have surface mount D-ring anchors that fold down when not in use, as well as recessed anchors that position the folding D-ring below the mounting surface, so it’s out of the way when you don’t need it.

If you routinely carry different types of cargo, each type with unique tie down strap and cargo net attachment requirements, then a track system may be the best way to handle your hauling needs. Tracks can be installed on any flat surface – the bed floor, bed walls, and even the top of the bed rails. Each track contains rows of tie down attachment points, which gives you the freedom to locate tie downs anywhere along the track and customize the way you secure your cargo. There are several track systems and each uses proprietary tie downs that can be easily installed and removed as needed. We offer kits that come with tracks and anchors, and combo kits that also include tie down straps and cargo nets.

Motorcycles and dirt bikes are routinely hauled in truck beds. If 2-wheelers are regular passengers in your bed, we have tie downs specifically designed to simplify tie down strap attachment and ensure safe, secure transport. Bikes are most stable during transport when the tie-down straps are anchored down by the front wheel, so the bike can be pulled down and forward, loading the front suspension. Our motorcycle tie down racks mount to the front bed wall, and in addition to properly positioned tie down strap attachment points, they also include integral wheel chocks to keep the front tire in place.
