LED Fog Lights

There are no driving conditions more challenging than trying to make your way through dense fog. For safe driving under such circumstances you need lights that will provide the best visibility possible. Unfortunately, the light from regular headlights reflects off the water droplets back into your eyes, impairing rather than improving visibility, and most original equipment fog lights are equipped with dim and unreliable halogen bulbs. Our LED fog lights have the bright, properly directed light you need to show the way through the most impenetrable fog, wrapped in visually appealing configurations.

Fog lights are mounted low on the front of the vehicle. They’re designed to produce a wide and flat pattern of light with a sharp cutoff at the top of the beam, illuminating the road ahead of your vehicle without lighting up the water droplets. Fog lights are invaluable when driving in fog, rain, snow, and dusty conditions. However, halogen fog lights don’t cast their light very far ahead, limiting their usefulness, and their fragile filaments can burn out or fail from shock. You can upgrade to brighter halogen bulbs, but they have an even shorter lifespan, in some cases as little as one year.

The LED fog lights you see on the page before you are the remedy to poor foul weather visibility. They combine proper fog light design with bright LEDs and unmatched style. LEDs produce light that is much brighter, and the beam extends further ahead, so you can see further down the road and drive safer under adverse weather conditions. LEDs are semiconductors that produce light when current is applied, and since they have no fragile filament they can last 50,000 hours or more, so you can forget about bulb replacement. And unlike high-wattage halogen fog lights, LED fog lights are highly energy efficient and draw much less current, so installing them won’t strain your electrical system. They’re also insensitive to vibration, making them unaffected by off-road adventures or pothole strewn roads.

In addition to superior illumination and durability, many of our LED fog lights have appearance and safety enhancing features you won’t find on most OE fog lights, including projector beams, halo rings, DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), smoke lenses, and more. Projectors have an elliptical reflector and clear lens that produce a sharper, more focused beam of light, for even better visibility. Halos are bright, eye-catching light rings at the perimeter of the fog light. They can be configured as DRLs, but they really “shine” in darkness, and some halos are available in your choice of colors. A vehicle with lights on during daylight hours is more conspicuous, thereby reducing the chance of a collision. The DRLs in our fog lights can be in the form of a halo ring or another creative design.

Universal fog lights are ideal if you want to add these great driving and appearance enhancements to older vehicles or late model vehicles that weren’t offered with fog lights. They come in a range of sizes, so you can get the set that best suits your space availability and preferred mounting. Vehicle specific LED fog lights are perfect for upgrading existing halogen fog lights and for giving your ride a boost in curb appeal. Many late model vehicles are built with predetermined locations for fog lights even if the vehicle wasn’t made with the fog lights option. Installing LED fog lights on these vehicles may involve cutting holes in the bumper or replacing filler panels with OE type fog light bezels.
