Halo Rings

We all crave the latest automotive lighting effects, those eye-catching features that turn heads and make our vehicles more conspicuous. Halo rings are one of the most desirable headlight upgrades, but getting them used to mean buying a vehicle equipped with them or purchasing aftermarket lights. If neither of those alternatives are in your budget, you don’t have to sit on the custom headlights sideline any longer. With our Halo kits, anyone can affordably add these exciting light rings to not just their composite headlights, but fog lights and tail lights as well.

The practice of surrounding the headlight bulb opening with Halo rings, also called Angel Eyes or Demon Eyes, was pioneered by BMW, but today many makes and models sport these distinctive lighting elements. They can be configured as Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), but they really “shine” when viewed in the darkness. And now, no matter what you drive, with a few hours devoted to installation and less cash than you’d spend for a set of custom headlights, you can give your car or truck the unique look of Halo rings.

You not only save money with our Halo rings, but you end up with a display that’s superior to many OE Halos. Factory Halos illuminated with incandescent bulbs or a single LED can be dim and unappealing. We offer both vehicle specific and universal Halo ring kits with various displays, some in square and rectangular shapes, so you can get the look that you find most pleasing and best suits the design of your headlights. SMD (Surface Mount Device) LEDs produce extremely bright light with a segmented appearance. CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lighting) Halo rings are filled with gas, like a neon sign, and the light they produce is a soft, solid glow throughout the ring. Plasma LED Halos use semi-conductor technology that turns the whole circuit board into an exceptionally bright unbroken light ring.

We offer Halo rings for both projector beam and conventional reflector headlights. Installation is relatively straightforward; it requires some mechanical and electrical knowledge, some special tools, and a few hours of your time. The composite headlight housing must be disassembled, which is accomplished by heating the housing in an oven or using a heat gun. Easy to follow detailed, illustrated, instructions are supplied, and some products include a video demonstration of a typical installation. When used with the brake lights, the tail light LEDs will illuminate faster than incandescent tail light bulbs, which can give drivers behind you additional stopping distance.

For select vehicles we offer surface mount Halos. With surface mount Halos you get affordability and easy installation, because instead of installing inside the housing, these rings attach to the outside of headlights, fog lights and tail lights with extra-strength 3M adhesive. They’re injected with resin to make them waterproof and have an IP67 ingress protection rating. This means they’re impervious to the intrusion of water even when submerged, so you know they can handle any weather conditions. By design, these Halo rings conform to the shape of the plastic lens, so they’re only available for certain applications, and in universal versions to fit 7” round and 3”x3” square lights. But if they’re right for the lights on your vehicle, these Halo rings are the easy path to eye-catching style.

With any Halos you can make a styling statement, but if you want to take your car, truck or SUV to the next level then go with our solid color or color changing Halos. Solid color Halos are available in a wide range of colors, while color changing Halos can be programmed for numerous colors and effects such as fading and strobing. We offer color changing kits that include a wireless remote control, and our latest kits can be controlled with an app on your smartphone via the included Bluetooth controller. Through the app you can choose from over 200 pre-programmed moving color patterns that can be displayed on the halos, for head-turning special lighting effects, plus you can select single colors and white for driving on the street. You can also create your own custom color designs.
