Emergency Vehicle Lighting is designed to get your attention. Whether it’s a police officer who wants you to pull over or alert you to a potential road hazard; or fire, rescue, or ambulance personnel who want you to get out of the way so they can respond to an emergency, these lights have been created with the intensity, colors, and flashing rate that ensure the emergency vehicle is quickly noticed and a sense of urgency is conveyed. Look over our selection, you’ll see that no matter what type of light you’re looking for or vehicle you’re outfitting, we have the emergency lights for the job.

In addition to red, blue, and white colors commonly used by emergency and law enforcement vehicles, we also offer amber/yellow lights for use on utility, construction, and security vehicles as well as tow trucks and snow plows. The lights are often used in these applications to draw attention to a stopped or slow moving vehicle. It is common practice to give a wide berth to vehicles with flashing amber/yellow lights for the benefit of the operator’s safety and your own. We also offer a limited number of green emergency lights, a color that is increasingly used by security agencies.

But regardless of the color, you can depend on our lights to perform when you need them. Unlike conventional lights with dim incandescent bulbs that contain fragile filaments, the illumination in our lights is produced by LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes). LEDs produce an exceptional amount of light relative to their size, and this small size enables many LEDs to be combined in one light unit for illumination that is exponentially brighter. LEDs are impervious to vibration, and with no filament to burn out or break from shock, they are far more reliable than other forms of lighting, typically lasting 30,000 hours or more. And because they don’t waste power creating heat, they are much more efficient than conventional lights, so more lights can be mounted without overloading the electrical system.

There are special LED features that make them particularly appropriate for emergency lights. Their compact size means a lot of light can be emitted by a small fixture. Roof-top light bars used to be tall and large to accommodate incandescent lights, creating wind drag and making police cars more visible, can now be made very thin and mounted closer to the roof, resulting in a vehicle that is more aerodynamic and fuel efficient - and harder to spot. LED lights can also be more easily programmed to have a number of strobe patterns. We offer lights that allow you to select from as many as 19 different flash patterns. Some of these lights have built-in control modules and don’t require an external LED controller, simplifying installation and operation.

On our digital shelves you’ll find light bars in many sizes, with different light color combinations, and with different quantities of LEDs, along with a large assortment of many other types of emergency and warning lights. We have round, square, and rectangular exterior lights that can be mounted on various parts of the vehicle body, on mirrors, push bars, or in the grille, as well as round and domed rotating beacons. We have lights with brackets for permanent mounting as well as lights with magnetic bases or suction cups for temporary mounting. We also offer lights that are intended for the interior illumination and can be mounted on dashboards, rear decks, and sun visors. These are ideal for unmarked police cars and for use by volunteer responders for installation in their daily drivers.

Another alternative for emergency lighting is our LED bulb strobe kits. The bulbs are small enough to be installed in headlight, cornering light, and tail light housings, and kits are available with bulbs in all popular emergency and warning light colors. Along with strobe lights and beacons, we also have specialized lights like those used to indicate direction, sometimes called traffic advisors because they flash sequentially left or right or have arrows to guide traffic. Another temporary light option that is portable as well, are our battery powered lights. These lights are available in all emergency and warning light colors, with a selection of flash patterns, and have magnetic bases for simple attachment. They’re great for traffic control, work zone safety, and more.

While some light bars can be installed inside the vehicle, most of them, especially full-size ones, are intended for outdoor use and mounted on the roof of a vehicle. For that reason, just about every roof-mounted light bar should be able to withstand harsh environmental conditions, including exposure to dirt, dust, humidity, condensation, rain, and snow. To meet these requirements, nine out of ten full-size light bars are designed to be completely waterproof and made from the highest grade materials to survive the test of time. Manufacturers pay special attention to the way their light bars are sealed in order to eliminate any possibility of collecting water and dust inside the lights, which may cause short circuits and other electrical malfunctions.

In the majority of cases light bars are powered from a vehicle's battery, which causes extra load on the electrical system and the engine, and may significantly reduce the service life of the battery. To minimize the extra load most modern-day full-size light bars are manufactured with LED bulbs because of their energy efficiency and high brightness. LED light bars are up to 80% more energy efficient compared to traditional incandescent or halogen lights. This is because about 95% of the energy that LEDs create is converted into light and only 5% is wasted as heat. In addition LEDs last longer compared to other types of lights and provide even light throughout their service life. That’s why LED light bars are the top choice for first responders and volunteers.

Bought pair of these last week. No applause, it’s just a good product with clear lenses, bright light, easy installation (for such lights). Were delivered to me right in time, how it was promised by CARiD, in good condition. No complaints.
