Since the fifth-generation A6 made its debut last year, Audi loyalists have been looking forward to the arrival of its higher-performance version, the S6. An Audi Sport-tuned 8-speed automatic transmission makes good use of it, while the Quattro AWD splits it between the axles. 0-60 time comes in 3.6 seconds.

In regular models, a 2.9-liter V6 engine replaces the previous 4.0-liter V8. The new unit is capable of providing up to 444 HP and 443 lb. ft. of torque. An 8-speed automatic ensures responsive acceleration and smooth gear shifts for excellent handling. All S6s are equipped with a 48-volt electrical system that powers a turbocharger/compressor. In addition, whatever the version, it has an aluminum-intensive multi-link suspension that promises enhanced ride quality. That setup features some reworked parts like firmer bushings that increase roll-motion stiffness and has adaptive dampers that can lower the sedan by nearly 0.8 inches. There is also an adaptive air suspension with adjustable dampers on the option sheet.

On the styling side of things, the S6 follows its familiar design language with many new eye-catching 2020 Audi S6 accessories and body parts reshaped for a more aggressive look. Thus, the newbie comes with a redesigned rear diffuser, four chromed tailpipes, and wider side sills.
