The model’s nameplate pays tribute to the Miura P400 SVJ, an upgraded variant of the regular Miura that offered aero, weight, and engine enhancements and met FIA J racing regulations. The 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ delivers mind-boggling performance – it employs a naturally aspirated 6.5 L V12 that develops 759 hp. The engine was revised and apart from a significant increase in power, it received a number of weight-saving features that reduced the vehicle’s curb weight by about 100 lb, making it even quicker. The Aventador SVJ also sports a number of distinctive features, both inside and out. The model comes with a more aggressive front fascia, multi-tier front bumper featuring big canards at the corners and additional vents in the nose placed above wheel arches. Side skirts and rear fender vents were made larger. In the rear, there is a massive ducktail-style spoiler, larger diffuser, and two additional exhaust pipes. Just like the regular variant, the Aventador SVJ is available as a coupe and convertible, named the SVJ Roadster. They fully share the design and mechanical underpinnings, with the only difference being the regular roof versus a removable carbon fiber panel.

Other representatives of the Aventador lineup remained essentially unchanged, as they underwent a mid-cycle refresh for the previous model year. The brand’s flagship now features a new aerodynamic design and reengineered suspension as well as delivers more power. The model also received the suffix “S” in the nameplate. The engine was upgraded and now generates 740 hp, allowing the coupe version of the 2019 Lamborghini Aventador to reach 60 mph in 2.7 seconds. The roadster version does the same a bit slower – in 3.0 seconds. The max speed is 217 mph in both cases. The power unit works together with a 7-speed automated-manual gearbox and all-wheel drive. The 2019 Lamborghini Aventador employs a rear-wheel steering system that allows for more torque to the rear wheels to improve maneuverability at low speeds. The ESC strategy was improved too for better traction control, while the exhaust system is 20 percent lighter now and makes the engine sound louder.
