XPEL Protection Film Warranty

XPEL Technologies Corp. warrants XPEL Protection Film to be free of any manufacturing or workmanship defects for seven (7) years from the date of purchase for Automotive painted surfaces only. The warranty does not cover damage to XPEL Protection Film caused by erroneous application, accidents or collisions, intentional misuse or ordinary wear, nor damage, dents or chips to the protected surface or film caused by impact of rocks or any other debris. XPEL will replace any film that does not meet this warranty. The replacement of the damaged film is the exclusive remedy; liability does not extend to any other damages, incidental, consequential, or otherwise.

Limited Warranty on XPEL Headlight Protection Products

What is Covered by This Limited Warranty?

XPEL Technologies Corp., warrants to you, the original purchaser of any XPEL™ Headlight Protection Products that are installed on the factory installed lenses of your vehicle, that such products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, including, for example, yellowing, cracking, or peeling. This limited warranty is only good for purchases made in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. possessions and territories) or Canada.

What is Not Covered by This Limited Warranty?

This limited warranty does not cover problems with a warranted product caused by normal wear and tear. It also does not cover problems with a warranted product resulting from external causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, mishandling, collision, alteration, negligence, fire, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, natural disaster, or other acts of God. Moreover, it does not cover any problems resulting from a usage of a warranted product that is not in accordance with product instructions or resulting from a failure to follow product instructions, or a failure to perform preventative maintenance to or parts replacement for your vehicle as suggested by the manufacturer in its maintenance schedule.

This limited warranty does not apply to the quality of the installation of a warranted product on your vehicle. It also does not apply to any problems with a warranted product caused by or relating to the actions or omissions of any contractor who performs work on your vehicle, including, for example, an installer of a warranted product. For example, this limited warranty would not cover problems with a warranted product resulting from such an installer's installation methods. This agreement is a product warranty and not insurance.

No other warranty of any kind is made unless expressly provided herein. XPEL disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, other than those warranties implied by, and incapable of exclusion under, applicable law. Any such implied warranties which may be required by law and are not disclaimed hereby are limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the applicable period of this limited warranty or the specified duration of such implied warranties under applicable law, whichever is shorter. XPEL does not accept liability beyond the remedies provided for in this limited warranty or for incidental or consequential damages.

XPEL’s liability will be no more than the amount you paid for the product that is the subject of a claim. This is the maximum amount for which XPEL is responsible. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

How Long Does This Limited Warranty Last?

This limited warranty is good for up to seven (7) years from your date of purchase. This limited warranty begins on the date of your proof of purchase, including, for example, your packing slip, invoice, or other receipt. The warranty period is not extended if XPEL repairs or replaces a warranted product. The manufacturer may change the availability of its limited warranties at its discretion, but any such changes will not be retroactive.

Replacement products are covered for the remaining period of the limited warranty covering the warranted product that you bought. XPEL owns all warranted products returned to it that are exchanged for a replacement product.

May I Transfer This Limited Warranty?

You may not transfer this limited warranty. This warranty coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer a warranted product to another party.

What Should I Do If I Have a Question, Complaint, or Dispute?

In the event of a dispute concerning this limited warranty (including, for example, XPEL’s determination of whether your product constitutes a defective product falling within the scope of this limited warranty), you may be entitled to certain rights and remedies under applicable federal and/or state law.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act:

XPEL® - Headlight and Fog Light Protection Kit

Do yourself a favor and go buy something else. They will ship you just the protective film in a paper tub. 1. Was delivered by ups in front of my door when was raining, it got a little damaged but i was hoping to fix it - my mistake, I couldn't. 2. They will not ship anything else, no instructions and no squeegee (you have to go online and watch a video of a guy showing you how to do it on a porsche I think where the headlight is flat and easy to install). 3. I did this before and the first half was ok, at the end of the 2nd half the film was way tooo big. On one headlight I was thinking was my mistake but the same with the 2nd one and that's when I put both of them in the trash. Do yourself a favor and go pay 20$ for a professional to install a nice protective film without paying for low quality here. Such a waste...

XPEL® H0424E-P-LE - Clear Headlight and Fog Light Protection Kit

To date, this is the most aggravating experience of my life. It is my recommendation that after the initial 184959 tries to get this film on correctly, try using an alcoholic type of soaking solution, only soak yourself instead of the headlights. You'll be much happier! My biggest fear is when I return to this impossible project that more bubbles will have appeared during my 14 minute absence. And I've only attempted the 1st headlight!!

Expensive, but Seems to Be Worth It.

XPEL® H0529D-P-LE - Clear Headlight and Fog Light Protection Kit

You should practice with other XPEL rolls on other parts of you car to get the hang of it (on flat areas) before you try this slightly more difficult application. Slightly expensive, but ultimately worth it.

The lens is very bumpy in the middle and lots of what looks like cracking on the inside of the lens hope it doesn't get any worse.

Heavy Duty and Easy to Install

I was impressed by the quality of these protective covers. Installation was pretty easy. Gather your supplies first, I had to run in and get my blow dryer. Spray the alcohol-water mix liberally on your hands, the film and the light. The heat from the blow dryer helps if your lenses are curved. I did end up with a foggy patch on one headlamp that is slowly going away. It’s taken about 2 weeks and the cloudy patch has decreased from about 5 inches to around an inch. My hope is that the rest of the foggy area will eventually evaporate. I had no foggy issues with the second light.
