Trailer Lights

Trailer Lights

Trailer lights really take a beating. Continually exposed to the elements and routinely banged up when loading and unloading, trailer lights can eventually end up with broken lenses, rusted bulb sockets, corroded connectors, and broken and frayed wiring, which can result in non-functioning lights when you need to use your trailer. Towing a trailer without fully functional lights is not only unsafe, it’s against the law, and you can be pulled over, ticketed and fined if your trailer lights are not working. Luckily, trailer lights are easy to repair, and we have what you need to get yours in top shape. In our selection of truck accessories and towing equipment we have everything from LED trailer lights to repair & installation components such as brackets, gaskets, wires, lenses, and more.

Browse our wide range of products and you’ll see we have one of the most extensive selections of trailer lighting around, with everything from trailer light wiring to complete LED trailer light kits, including LED bulbs and waterproof lights. If you’re repairing existing lights, in addition to lenses we have replacement bulbs, grommets, and reflectors for all types of lights and trailers. And if you need complete light assemblies, we have the basics like trailer tail lights and license plate lights as well as clearance lights, interior lights, courtesy lights, and even porch lights for campers. We offer lights in all shapes and sizes including round, oval, square, and rectangular, as well as multi-function assemblies that incorporate the tail lights, stop lights, turn signals, and back-up lights in one unit.

Trailer lighting requirements vary according to the trailer’s length, width, and GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). At minimum, any trailer must have tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, a license plate light, side marker lights, and reflectors at the rear and sides. Reflectors are often combined with light units, and rear lights may be combined in light assemblies. Side marker lights/reflectors are amber (yellow) in front and red at the rear. Large trailers may require additional lights, reflectors, and even applications of reflective conspicuity tape to make the trailer more visible. We carry a variety of trailer light kits, including magnetic trailer lights with a wireless transmitter that ensure the easiest placement and connection, featuring magnetic mounts that keep the lights strongly attached to a steel surface.

But we know that sometimes you have to do more than just a repair. If your whole lighting system is in bad shape, or if you just got a good deal on a used trailer that needs fixing up, we have complete light kits that will make your trailer visible and legal. We offer kits that meet or exceed DOT lighting standards for all size trailers. A typical kit for a trailer up to 20’ long and up to 80” wide includes 2 combination lights that provide tail, brake, turn signal, license plate and rear side marker light functions, 2 amber side trailer marker lights, the wiring harness, and even snap lock connectors, frame mounting clips and a license plate bracket. These kits are easy to install and will save time and money compared with sourcing each component individually.

But if you want to do more than just meet regulations, and plan to make your trailer more visible and increase the durability of your lights, we have the components to upgrade your system. Submersible boat trailer lights will survive repeated dunking when you put your boat in the water and stay working. Waterproof trailer lights will also do the job, and they’re ideal for any trailer that is stored outside in the rain, to ensure you always have lights when you hook up. Upgrade to trailer LED lights and say good-bye to problems that plague conventional incandescent bulb lights. LEDs are super bright, resistant to vibration, and last 50,000 hours or more, so you’ll most likely never have to replace them. Plus we have utility and flood lights that can provide beneficial illumination for loading/unloading cargo at night. Whatever your towing needs are, our selection covers products for trailers and tow vehicles of all types and sizes, from light cars to commercial trucks.
