Toyota Hi-Lux Body Parts

Beginning in May 1972, the 1973 model year Toyota Hilux, a.k.a. Hi-Lux, was offered as the RN20. A new 7.4 ft. "long bed" version was marketed for the first time in America, although this model has been available globally since 1969. This model was given the RN25 chassis lettering. The 2.0L 18R motor was marketed in Japan also, with a three-speed automatic gearbox. The Hilux received complete reconstruction for 1975 to be bigger and with more standard equipment options. In America, the new model also meant the offering of the much larger 2.2L 20R motor and the SR5 souped-up trim package. This Hilux model was also outfitted with a five-speed manual gearbox.
