Aluminum Polished Cold Air Intake System and Heat Shield with HPR® Filter (9083) by Spectre Performance®. Spectre air intake systems are designed to get more horsepower and torque from your vehicle while working to protect your engine from harmful debris. This air intake system comes with a washable, reusable low restriction Spectre High Performance Racing (HPR) air filter, polished aluminum intake tubing and a black powder coated 2-piece heat shield to help prevent heated engine air from entering the intake inlet. Spectre air intakes come with velocity stack, stainless steel clamps, couplers, and all necessary hardware for an OE fit and finish. MAFS mounts directly on the intake tube.

90-Day Limited Warranty

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. SPECTRE® Performance limits the duration and remedies of all implied warranties, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the duration of this express limited warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts.

What Does This Warranty Cover?

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of your SPECTRE® Performance Product (the “Product”), with the exceptions stated below.

What Does This Warranty Not Cover?

This warranty does not cover damage due to (a) transportation, (b) storage, (c) improper use, (d) failure to follow the Product instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance, (e) modifications, (f) unauthorized repair, (g) normal wear and tear, (h) any type of racing or competition, (i) any off-road use or (j) external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond the company’s reasonable control (e.g., acts of God and natural disasters).

How Long Does the Coverage Last?

This warranty lasts for 90 Days of the Product from the date of purchase. Coverage applies only to the original purchaser of the Product and is non-transferable. The warranty period will not be extended if SPECTRE® Performance repairs or replaces the Product.

What Will SPECTRE® Performance Do?

SPECTRE® Performance will repair any Product that proves to be defective in materials or workmanship. If repair is not possible, it will either replace your Product with a new Product of similar composition and price, or refund the full purchase price of your Product, at its sole discretion. There is no charge for inspection.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The remedies described above are your sole and exclusive remedies and SPECTRE® Performance’s entire liability for any breach of this limited warranty. Its liability shall under no circumstances exceed the actual amount paid by you for the product, nor shall it under any circumstances be liable for any consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages or losses, whether direct or indirect.

Great Short Ram Intake!

For a long time I've wanted to buy an intake for my 2012 Veloster. I did a lot of research to see which one was the best choice for me in terms of cost and performance. I finally decided to buy the Spectre Performance and I'm very happy about it. The sound it produces on high revs is awesome and you can feel the gain in hp, which is basically the same as the others. It also looks great and that heat shield is a plus that other brands don't include. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the installation process, which I already knew it was gonna be a bit tricky since every review I've read about it mentions it. The filter itself barely fits into the hole of the heat shield, and like most people, I had to trim down the filter base a bit so it could fit without issues. The other problem I encountered was with the cold air duct panel that attaches with the heat shield. For some reason, the one I got had a pre-made hole that did not coincide with the one on the heat shield, therefore I had to make a new hole for it. Having those things in mind, it was fairly easy to install and that's coming from me, a guy with his first "project car" who has never dealt with an engine before, and it comes with crystal clear instructions so that helps a lot. So if you don't mind having to deal with a small delay due to having to do some modifications, I'd say this is worth it.

Short Ram Review

Spectre Performance® - Aluminum Polished Cold Air Intake System with HPR® Red Filter and Heat Shield

Intake was shipped to me very fast which was good. Sounds amazing and I can feel the power and torque gains immensely. Don't know how much exactly, but it makes a big difference, has a nice whistle to it too when accelerating. Only reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 is because installation.... was very difficult to install, the 2.5 inch clamp was very difficult to get onto the rubber reducer peice going into the throttle body, the clamps in general are crap (planning on getting new style ones), and the filter was so tight to fit into the cut out hole in the heat shield I had to take a knife and trim down the plastic on the filter a bit to make it fit. The thing I like about this intake is that there's a heat sheild and a cold air duct going to the filter, no other company's make the short rams like this. If you don't mind spending two ish hours on fiddling with this intake install I %100 recommend.

Great kit. Easy install. Works great but I broke the fuel vent hose tube on the aluminum pipe because the rubber hose was to small in diameter. So we left the hose off with no issues.

Adapter

The instructions that come with this are very confusing and don’t give you any sense as to which adapter to use for which place I have spent the last 6 hours trying to get this together and not a single instruction has helped. I have searched throughout the internet and still no luck. Kinda wish it would’ve come with simpler instructions that told you which adapters go where.

I noticed increased performance and increased gas mileage. Not hard to install and will add good visual upgrade. It's worth the price, I've had mine for a year without any issues.
