You can also use this tie down straight out without using the axle loop as well. This gives you added versitility if you trailer different cars. Don't forget to look at the line of different length individual axle loops as well. A great way to add versatility to your tie down kit is to purchase additional lengths of webbing from the replacement parts section, there's no need to carry a crate full of ratchet assemblies when all you need is a few different "active end" lengths. You can even change the "short end" with a different type of hardware fitting. Your tie down system is as strong as your weakest link, check the strength and installation of your trailer tie down anchor rings.
