Skunk2 Racing Ultra Series Intake Manifolds are the phenomenal next generation manifolds for the aftermarket intake technology. Made from high-grade 356 aluminum alloy for a strong and lightweight design, CNC-machined for a precise fit, Ultra Manifolds are individually inspected for best quality assurance. The large 90mm throttle body opening, 87mm velocity stacks, high-velocity intake runners, with smooth transitions, modular design and years of engineering research and development allow the Ultra Series Manifolds to outflow the competition. Designed to be used with built, high-horsepower naturally aspirated or forced induction setups, the Skunk2 Ultra Series Intake Manifolds help provide a new affordable level of high-end intake technology to the marketplace.
The Skunk2 Universal High-Velocity Intake Kit reduces heat soak and maximizes airflow and velocity for any induction system. The kit utilizes a massive 6.8” diameter high-flow low-restriction air filter that features a unique double-cone design where the inverted inner filter cone not only increases the filter surface area and air flow capacity, it also helps reduce turbulence inside the filter and guide the incoming air to achieve higher flow rates and velocities.
A typical Single Cone Filter mass flow rate is 47.7 lbs/min 10 in H2O. Flow separation is caused by turbulence which reduces the cross-sectional flow area and increases restriction.
The Skunk2 Double Cone Filter mass flow rate is 57.4 lbs/min 10 in H2O. The double Cone design reduces turbulence inside the filter and increases the filtration area resulting in a higher flow rate and velocity. An energized boundary layer is created reducing flow separation and restriction.
Skunk2 Racing Silicone Radiator Hoses are handmade using high-quality, automotive-grade silicone and feature cutting-edge, multi-layer, embedded fiber linings that will resist even the most abusive engine temperatures and pressures. Each application has been test-fitted for accuracy, OEM fit, and subjected to rigorous tests and inspections to ensure years of worry-free operation. All Skunk2 Racing radiator hoses are compatible with each vehicle’s OEM water housings, radiator necks, and OEM hose clamps. You are going to have to replace those OEM radiator hoses sooner or later. Do your engine bay a favor and upgrade it with a Skunk2 Racing Silicone Radiator Hose Kit paired with Skunk2 Racing Alpha Series Radiators.
Skunk2 Racing Alpha aluminum radiators are a perfect direct fit upgrade designed to dramatically increase both cooling efficiency and engine performance. Alpha Radiators are available in full-size and half-size variations. All Alpha Series Radiators are manufactured from lightweight and durable aluminum with atmosphere controlled 100% brazed cores, TIG-welded ends, and high-efficiency fins. Each radiator features dual-core design for the ultimate cooling performance. Skunk2 Racing High-Pressure Radiator Cap increases your radiator pressure and cooling system boiling point for unsurpassed efficiency. As a finishing touch, Alpha Radiators end tanks are polished embossed with the Skunk2 Alpha Logo and include a Skunk2 AlphaRad badge for authenticity.
Skunk2 Ultra and Alpha Rear Lower Control Arms are direct replacements for the factory OEM arms and are ideal for street and race applications. Benchmarking off of Skunk2 previous LCA design, their goal was to design an arm that was lighter, stronger, and more durable without increased noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH).
The inboard bushing features a large tuned durometer elastomeric bushing, that is hard enough for improved handling performance yet compliant enough to minimize an unwanted increase in NVH, while the lower shock mount utilizes Delrin bushings for reduced friction and minimal deflection for improved dynamic shock control. For improved bushing life, the latest materials were used, and a high-precision spherical bearing on the trailing arm side was utilized to reduce twist at the inboard bushing.
Even though a second spherical bearing for the inboard pickup point is offered as a racing upgrade, Skunk2 chose to use only one spherical bearing to minimize unwanted increases in NVH for street use. By using this specific combination of bushings, handling performance and control is improved significantly without compromising NVH or comfort.
