The Saab 99 was offered with a selection of four-stroke water-cooled motors (1.75, 1.85, and 2.0 liter) paired with a 4-/5-speed manual or 3-speed Borg-Warner automatic gearbox. In 1984, the production ended, and this model was replaced by the Saab 90.
