Product Details
50 lb PH Neutralizer by Prochem®. Reduces alkalinity of hot tank and jet spray solutions for safe disposal. pH Neutral is an acid-based, biodegradable granular material specifically formulated for neutralizing "spent" solutions of hot tank and jet spray alkaline cleaning compounds. Neutralization is accomplished by adding pH Neutral to your tank and lowering the pH level of the alkaline solution to an acceptable level for safe disposal. Since pH Neutral is in a granular form it is much safer to handle than liquid acids. pH Neutral is non-flammable, dust free and stable.

Use Instructions and Disposal Procedures
pH Neutral is added, with agitation, to the spent tank contents slowly ri sufficient quantity to reduce the pH level of solution to the safe range of 8.0 to 9.5 on the pH color chad. This is controlled by dipping a piece of the litmus test paper into the solution at intervals and comparing results of color change to the pH color chart. A true 9.5 reading is far enough. Normally, this will require approximately 1/4 to 1/2 ounce of pH Neutral for each ounce of active product left in the spent solution to be neutralized (depending, of course, upon the alkalinity of the product being treated.) After allowing tank contents to settle, pH neutralized liquid and sludge is drummed off for disposal. Dispose of waste in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Safety Factors
Add slowly, reaction does occur. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention. See MSDS for additional safety information.
