I HAVE AN OLDER/UNIQUE VEHICLE OR SWAP, DO YOU GUYS MAKE A HEADER FOR THAT?
Yes, if they have the vehicle here at their facility, they do offer custom builds if company schedule allows.
DO YOU MAKE CUSTOM HEADERS? (OR Y/X/H PIPES?)
It depends on the vehicle. They do offer custom builds if their schedule allows and they would need to have the vehicle at their facility.
WHAT DOES CONNECT TO OEM MEAN? (REFERRING TO A CATTED OR NON-CATTED Y/H/X PIPE OR CAT-BACK EXHAUST)
An OEM connection point is a specific location on the factory exhaust where this cat-back exhaust or connection pipe will bolt up/connect.
DO YOUR HEADERS COME WITH GASKETS, BOLTS, 02 EXTENSIONS, INSTRUCTIONS, CLAMPS, ETC.?
These two cats are physically the same, and both use the same 300 cell high-flow substrate. The difference is in the coating that is applied to the substrate. The coating on the Kooks GREEN Cat has more of the precious metals required to create the proper reaction to function as a catalytic converter in newer vehicle exhaust systems. This coating also helps the cat withstand the increased heat in higher horsepower and forced induction applications. The standard cats carry a 1 year limited replacement warranty (No warranty if used in a forced induction application). The Kooks GREEN Cats carry a 2 year limited replacement warranty.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LONG TUBE HEADERS AND SHORT TUBE HEADERS (TORQUE SERIES, SUPER STREET SERIES)?
Kooks Torque Series & Kooks Super Street
The Kooks Torque Series headers and Kooks Super Street Series headers are designed with for improved performance while maintaining an outlet that will connect to the OEM Catalytic Converter. This allows for maximum performance without interfering with the Emissions Control systems of the vehicle and without requiring a tune.
Kooks Long Tube
Long Tube headers are designed for maximum performance and will require a Kooks Connection pipe or Kooks Header-Back exhaust system to be used. With Long Tube headers, the OEM Catalytic converters will need to be removed. A tune is required to receive the maximum benefit of the Long Tube Header upgrade.
HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER WILL I GAIN?
Typically in the range of 15 to 20 hp with a tune unless otherwise stated.
DO I NEED A TUNE TO INSTALL YOUR LONG TUBE HEADERS?
Generally yes, but depends on the exact product and vehicle.
