In the pursuit to get the best sound possible from your stereo system that features both factory and aftermarket gear, KEYLOC’s patent-pending KEY™ algorithm automatically detects and analyzes crossovers, EQ, time delay, and all-pass filters present, and then it will level-match the left and right audio channels. Once analyzed, it corrects these various filters to give you the smoothest frequency response possible, giving you a clean, uncolored audio signal for your aftermarket gear.
News flash! Factory audio systems don’t always deliver full-range signal on every speaker wire. This makes it tough to hook up an aftermarket amp and get the sound you wanted - until now. Attach the factory speaker wire to the KEYLOC input and play the FREE recommended test tones (below). Then read the KEYLOC’s LEDs – you’ll instantly know what frequencies are available from any particular pair of speaker wires (Low 20-200Hz / Mid 200-2kHz / High 2k-20kHz).
Using KICKER’s FIT 2+™ (Fail-safe Integration Technology), KEYLOC has the most versatile input sensitivity in the car-audio aftermarket. Ranging from 125 mV-10V (low level) with 60-Ohm smart load, or 1V-40V (high level), KEYLOC is prepared to work with nearly every vehicle on the road today.
In 1973, KICKER® Livin' Loud legacy began as a two-man operation, hand-building professional-speaker systems in a narrow one-car garage. With very few resources and an intense love for music, company founder and current president Steve Irby invented the mobile-stereo enclosure market from his Stillwater, Oklahoma community, when he developed the Original KICKER. It was the first full frequency-range speaker box designed specifically for cars and trucks. From that historic moment, delivering concert-like audio quality across a wide volume range with renowned bass and accurate sound has always been the KICKER way.
