Use in any high-heat application where high-strength fasteners are needed. It is easy to use, and no special tools nor bands or buckles required. Simply pull the tail end through the head and tighten, just like with plastic wire ties. There are no sharp edges and it is easy to handle. The low profile makes it ideal for any tight-fit application. Available as a 3/16-inch-width 304 stainless steel tie, or a heavy-duty 5/16-inch-wide 316 stainless steel tie with 45 percent more gripping power. Both come in a variety of lengths to suit multiple applications and have a thickness of 0.01". Thermal-tie – The industries original locking tie. Made from high temperature stainless steel, licking ties can be secured without goofy tools. Just cinch that exhaust wrap down on your header without original width ties. Heavy duty wide locking ties offer 45% more gripping power, making them a great way to fasten that heat shield onto your exhaust pipe.
Installation Tips:
- Whether you need to shield that CAI or keep your header wrap secured to your pipes, heat shield tape and fasteners by Heatshield Products will get the job done.
- Required equipment: gloves, needle nose pliers, and diagonal pliers
- Identify the tail and heat of the stainless steel locking tie
- Wrap tie around components to be secured, and push tail through the head
- Pull tail through head
- Use needle nose pliers to coil or wind the tie into itself
- Use diagonal pliers to cut of excess
