As headlight design has evolved, so too have the ways to customize this area of your car or truck. In the early days of car customizing, when every vehicle had sealed beam headlights, “frenching” was a popular headlight modification. This involved recessing the headlights into the fenders or molding in headlight rings and bezels to create a smoother appearance. Often the headlight rings and bezels from different makes and models were used.
In contrast to the old days of one-size-fits-all headlights, with today’s aerodynamic composite headlights, most of the customizing goes on inside the headlight housings. We can offer you custom headlight assemblies with projector beams; LED bulb, halo ring, or U-bar running and parking lights; Euro styling; with chrome or black background; and with the lighting components artistically arranged in your choice of design patterns.
But even though you can turn heads with just a headlight swap, that doesn’t mean you’re limited to this mod if you want a really custom set of headlights. Our headlight eye lids provide another way to modify your headlight area for a custom look that will get plenty of attention. Install these eye lids over your factory headlights for an inexpensive mod that will definitely get second looks, or go all the way and combine our eye lids with custom headlight assemblies, for an appearance guaranteed to command attention.
The headlight eye lids we have on offer are available for many popular late model vehicles. Each has been designed to enhance the appearance of the headlights on a specific application, and molded in fiberglass, FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic), or carbon fiber. Most can be painted to match the color of your vehicle, for a look that appears factory installed, or go ahead and display the distinctive high-tech weave of carbon fiber. In addition to being an affordable mod, it’s also an easy one to make as most headlight eye lids attach with 3M adhesive tape.
