Exterior Light Bulbs

Your vehicle’s exterior lights alert other drivers to your presence to prevent collisions, enable you to see where you’re going so you can safely navigate in the dark and inclement weather, and allow you to communicate your intentions to other drivers when you’re turning and stopping. Each of the exterior lights on your vehicle uses a particular type of bulb, and although there are many part numbers, you’ll find them all right here on our digital shelves.

The headlights are the most important lights on your car or truck. Of course a headlight bulb should be replaced if it’s burned out, but even if your bulbs are still working they should be replaced if they’re a few years old. Although today’s Halogen bulbs last much longer than the regular incandescent bulbs of yore, they still wear and become dim over time, and the reduced illumination can make it difficult to see the road clearly.

Fog lights are mounted low on the vehicle, and have a wide beam angled toward the ground, which reduces glare and enables you to better see the road ahead. With your tail lights and turn signals you can communicate with other drivers. They alert other drivers that you’re stopping when you step on the brake pedal, and let them know you’re turning when you flip the turn signal lever. Tail lights, along with side marker lights, also reveal your location on the road at night. Without functioning bulbs in all these lights, visibility will decrease and your roadway safety will be diminished.

We offer direct replacement original equipment bulbs to make repairs to all of your exterior lights, but if you want to upgrade your lighting we also have Halogen bulbs with several degrees of increased brightness, as well as bright, long-lasting LED bulbs, for many exterior light applications. Our replacement OE bulbs will fit the same and provide the same degree of illumination and durability as bulbs from a dealer, but at a much better price. And upgrading is easy, because our upgraded bulbs are manufactured to fit in the same location as the OE bulb and require no modifications to your vehicle.

Our upgraded Halogen bulbs are available for headlights, fog lights, and some cornering light applications. They come in a range of color temperatures, and they’re up to 50% brighter than standard Halogen bulbs. The beam they cast is wider and extends further up the road for increased visibility. LED bulbs are available for most exterior lights. LEDs have several advantages over their incandescent counterparts: They’re insensitive to vibration, an important consideration if you regularly drive over rough roads or off-road, they consume much less energy, and they last as much as 25 times longer.
