The Gen Series from Vossen includes six new wheel designs available as a monoblock, 3-piece, and 2-piece with a full carbon fiber barrel.

Vossen

The Short Version: The new Vossen Gen Series wheels just dropped, offering six distinctly different designs. This family of forged wheels is available as a one-piece monoblock, three-piece, or two-piece with a carbon fiber barrel. As with all Vossen wheels, they aren’t cheap, with prices ranging from $2,000 to $6,800 each.

Vossen just released its newest lineup of wheels, the Gen Series. Featuring six brand-new wheel options denoted as Gen-01, Gen-02, etc., this family of wheels offers distinct designs that cater to a wide range of enthusiasts. From the simple five-spoke design of the Gen-01 to the mesh wheel face used in the Gen-05, each iteration is different from any of the others, making it easier to find one that fits your style.

All of the new Gen Series wheels are forged aluminum and will be available as either a one-piece monoblock, three-piece, or two-piece with a full carbon fiber barrel. As of now, Vossen has only released the monoblock and three-piece options. For the monoblock construction, all six designs are available in 19- through 26-inch diameters, with widths ranging from 8.5- to 12-inch. With the three-piece design, sizes range from 18- to 24-inch diameters with 8.5- to 16-inch widths.

As with all Vossen forged wheels, the Gen Series do not come cheap. Prices for the 19-inch monoblock wheels start at $2,000 each for all six styles and go up to $2,700 for the 26-inchers. Three-piece wheels start at $2,400 each and go up to $3,000 depending on size. Though not yet available, the 2-piece wheels with a carbon fiber barrel will be available in 19- to 23-inch diameters and their pricing will range from $5,650 to $6,800 each.

At these prices, there are always going to be some other options to consider. These Fuel Fusion FC401s start at $500 each for the monoblock design, for example. Or if you’re looking for three-piece wheels, something like the HRE Forged 520s are comparable in price to the Gen Series from Vossen.

While the Fuel wheels might not be quite on par with Vossen or HRE in terms of quality or status, this goes to show just how many forged wheel options are out there. The new Vossens are definitely cool, but many enthusiasts can’t shell out around $10,000 for a set of wheels!
