Warn Industries has been producing high-quality off-road and overlanding gear for years, and the Zeon line of winches is a mainstay among enthusiasts. Heck, it’s the same brand of winch used by Corsetti Cruisers on the team’s latest build, the Hulk Land Cruiser. But Warn is stepping things up a notch with the new Zeon XD, which is set to replace the standard Zeon with a slew of impressive upgrades.
The Warn Zeon XD is hitting shelves with two models, the XD 10-S and XD 12-S, coming with 10,000 and 12,000-pound pulling capacities, respectively. The 10-S includes 100 feet of Spydura synthetic rope, while the 12-S has 80 feet of the stuff. Both winches offer a no-load line speed of 40 feet per minute, more than a 20-percent increase compared to what the standard Zeon units can do. One of the coolest features is the winch’s wireless control capability. Using the Warn Hub app on your smartphone, you’ll be able to control it from up to 100 feet away.
The Zeon XD also comes with armor protection and watertight construction so it continues to operate in harsh conditions. The winch has an IP69K waterproof rating, meaning it is completely dust- and waterproof, and full-metal protection keeps the motor and gear train safe from rocks, debris, and anything else that might pop up on or off the road. It also includes an OEM-grade, UV-resistant bus bar to ensure the wiring stays safe from the elements.
