UPDATE: The Valarra ended up selling for a whopping $63,475 on July 9th. I’m not sure how much I expected it to go for, but I certainly wasn’t expecting it to be that high! It might be time to put some more respect on the Valarra name.
One of the guys on the editorial team was perusing Cars & Bids as all good enthusiasts do, and he came across something none of us had seen: a Valarra. If that’s all I said, I’d imagine most of you would be just as intrigued as we were, wondering what the heck is a Valarra? While it might sound and look like some new supercar we hadn’t heard of, the Valarra is a C6 Chevrolet Corvette with a body kit.
As soon as I took a peek at the listing and realized what it was, I had to dig in a little further and see what the deal was with this car. When I first saw it this morning, the bid was at $10,000. At the time of writing this just a few hours later, it has already hit $15,250 with six days left to go. So while it might have originally piqued my curiosity due to how, um, unique it looks, clearly there is some real interest out there from other enthusiasts.
After a bit of digging and reading more into the Valarra, I found that it’s essentially a high-quality body kit designed specifically for 2005-2013 C6 Corvettes, one that more or less replaces every major panel on the car. According to the company’s website, the pricing for the kit starts at $18,000 and comes with everything needed to transform the interior and exterior of a C6 into a pseudo-supercar. The issue is that the site has very little information outside of this and a few pictures, and it looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2021.
That said, some fine folks on Reddit pointed out that the guy behind the Valarra is the same one who does the Vaydor Infiniti G35 kits, which anyone who’s seen the Joker’s car in Suicide Squad may remember. This is confirmed by the Valarra Vette Instagram page, which credits Matt McEntegart as the mad scientist behind both body kit designs. The interesting thing here is that the site for the Vaydor kit is actively updated with a lot more information and an easy ordering process, while getting your hands on a Valarra kit seems quite a bit more involved.
In any case, this Valarra Corvette exists on Cars & Bids and it’s available now for bidding. In addition to the unique supercar look, the owner of this Vette repainted it in BMW’s Hockenheim Silver Metallic, something else I hadn’t seen before. It also has 20- and 22-inch Ferrada wheels, BC Racing coilovers, and some other aftermarket mods.
It’s going to be interesting to see how much this thing ends up going for, and I’ll be back to update this story with the final sale price for anyone curious.
