Color Wraps

It is a thin layer of film in the form of a strip or specific emblem that applies to the body of your car or truck over its paint. A color wrap doesn’t require any kind of body preparation. All you need is to clean the surface out of grease and dirt, and you’re done!

Applying a color wrap is the perfect alternative to repainting a vehicle or its body parts. As a rule, it is very thin, so its edges are almost invisible to the naked eye, creating an illusion of custom paintwork on your vehicle’s body. But unlike paintwork, a color wrap is easy to remove if needed without ruining your paint-and-lacquer coating. This gives you almost unlimited freedom to change the look of your vehicle as many times as you want without running the risk of damaging your vehicle. With a color wrap, it is as easy as pie.

If your vehicle’s paint-and-lacquer coating has several minor scratches, you can mask them with a color wrap. Depending on the size of scratches and their location, you may use a striping tap, an accent strip set or another type of color wraps. Most color wraps can be attached not only to plain surfaces on your doors, hood or truck, but also to your fenders, bumpers, and quarter panels. Being very flexible, they are easy to bend to match the contours of your vehicle’s body.

The majority of wraps are made of vinyl with an adhesive backing. This material is very strong and durable by itself, which is why many car owners use color wraps to protect the paint-and-lacquer coating of their vehicles from minor scratches and dents. One of the most popular options is a rocker panel wrap kit that usually consists of a wide strip or several strips which can be cut to match a specific vehicle. A typical rocker panel wrap kit goes from bumper to bumper, covering not only the rocker panels but also both sides of the front and rear bumpers.
