The Chevrolet Prizm was a rebadged version of the Japanese Toyota Sprinter, a subcompact car whose roots date back to the late 1960s. From 1989 up to 1998, the model was marketed as the Geo Prizm; Geo is GM’s brand for import cars. In 1998, the model was finally rebadged as the Chevrolet Prizm, succeeding the Chevrolet Nova. The new Prizm was a compact car providing good performance both in town and on the highway. Available as a 4-door sedan, the Prizm offered a good balance between elegance, safety, and comfort. The Chevrolet Prizm was discontinued in 2002.

The Chevrolet Prizm was designed for daily use on the city road, being therefore subjected to those small hitches related to the urban life: a broken mirror, a scratch on the door, a crack in a bumper.
