Two different truck variants were available: the “Loadside”, a traditionally designed pickup truck with bed and rear tailgate, and the “Rampside”, designed with a ramp between the cabin and the rear wheel on one side of the vehicle. The Corvair Truck featured independent front suspensions, cab-over configuration, air-cooled rear engine, introducing as well some unique features, such as a hybrid architecture composed by a semi-monocoque chassis and a sub-frame to strengthen the cargo area. Despite its uniqueness and the overall good quality, the Corvair Truck never took off, and the model was eventually discontinued in 1964.
