Back when odometers only displayed 5 digits, prospective car buyers would look at the condition of the brake pedal pad to help determine actual mileage. Odds were if the pedal pad was severely worn then a 1 or a 2 needed to be put in front of the number shown on the dash. If your daily driver is starting to show its age, a new pedal pad can help to rejuvenate it, but when it comes to brake pedals we have so much more, from complete pedal assemblies for classic cars, and pedal setups that make it easy to run modern brakes on hot rods, to a wide range of pedals specially designed for racing.

Think of how many times your foot steps on the brake pedal during just one trip, then multiply that by how often you drive and it’s easy to see how brake pads become worn. But a worn pedal pad isn’t just an eyesore. The ribbing that’s a feature of most pedal pads is designed to provide traction for your foot, and when the ribs wear down and the rubber becomes hard with age, the smooth surface can become slippery. Combine that slick surface with wet soles and your foot could easily slip off the pedal during a panic stop. A new pedal pad will boost appearance and make driving safer as well.

We offer replacement brake pedal pads for many late model cars and trucks. We also have a large selection of replacement pads for most popular classic and muscle cars. These pads are correct in every detail, and include features like the words DISC BRAKES or POWER BRAKES inscribed where required on pad inserts or molded into the pad, just like original equipment. Plus we have pad trim plates, pivot bushings and retainers. But the pad isn’t the only place the brake pedal can wear on classic and muscle cars. After many thousands of miles the pivot can wear to the point even a new bushing won’t take the slop out. That’s why we offer complete reproduction pedal assemblies, because your classic shouldn’t just look like the day it rolled off the assembly line, it should feel like it too.

OE replacement style is fine for making a daily driver functional or when originality is needed for a restoration, but it won’t do when you’re building a custom car.
