Stainless Steel Mid-Pipe by Borla®. Main Piping Diameter: 3"-2.25". Eliminates either secondary cats and/or front muffler from the OE system. Compatible with both the OE exhaust system and with the Borla® Cat back system.

- Adding this Mid-Pipe/Y-Pipe to a rear section will give you all the elements of a Cat-Back™ system. These Mid Pipes are not intended for use with OE factory mufflers
- This is a Race Only product that is to be used solely for competition. It cannot be used on vehicles that are operated on public streets, roads or highways. Its use is limited to closed-course and open-course racing that is formally sanctioned by a recognized racing organization. These low-restriction mid-pipes will replace your heavy factory catalytic converter or front muffler with a smooth, lightweight piece of 304-stainless tubing. If they replace the cat, they are not legal for use on public roads.

Mandrel-bent on CNC-controlled benders, they are guaranteed to the original user on the original vehicle for one million miles of service. High-quality 304 austenitic stainless steel is used throughout, so your Borla exhaust system will never corrode or rust. Other manufacturers, including the car manufacturers fabricate so-called stainless exhaust systems out of less-expensive 400-series steel. Although 400-series steel is superior to ordinary aluminized mild steel, it can still develop ugly surface corrosion and eventually deteriorate. Professional installation is recommended, because of the necessity of working underneath the vehicle.

Will this set up work with my existing stock catalytic converter?

Hi, according to our website: "Adding this Mid-Pipe/Y-Pipe to a rear section will give you all the elements of a Cat-Back™ system. These Mid Pipes are not intended for use with OE factory mufflers." So yes, a cat-back system is defined as a system which begins after the catalytic converter.
