Oil Catch Can Essential Kit by Black Forest Industries®. One of the biggest areas of concern for the longevity of your FSI direct injection engine is the long term effects of oil vapor deposition in the intake and valve train. Even though all FSI engines come equipped with a cyclonic oil separator from the factory time has shown that these separators are not enough and that the biggest contributor to these vaporized oil deposits on the intake valves and plenum are the gasses emanating from the PCV system.

Warranty

Black Forest Industries warranties their products against defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise specified. Warranty applies to original purchaser and is not transferable. This applies to products manufactured by Black Forest Industries – and not those sold/distributed by Black Forest Industries. Other manufacturer’s products default to their expressed warranty.

Exceptions to the warranty include, but are not limited to, wear and tear items such as brake rotors, brake pads, flywheels and clutches and clearance.

Warranty will become void if:
the product has been used in competition/racing;
the product has been abused, misused, or improperly maintained;
repairs have been made or attempted by anyone other than an authorized Black Forest Industries dealer, unless cleared beforehand by Black Forest Industries LLC;
repairs are required because of normal wear and tear;
alterations have been attempted or made to the product;
the product is classified as a consumable;
the product has been involved in an accident.

This warranty is limited to repairs and/or replacement of the product or part found to be defective. Black Forest Industries reserves the right to refund the complete purchase price for the defective item and will not be held liable for losses or damages arising from the defect.

If a part or a component from the Black Forest Industries product, system or kit is found to be defective, this warranty shall apply only to the defective part or component and shall not require Black Forest Industries to repair, replace or refund the complete Black Forest Industries product, system or kit.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act:

Oil Separator Can

Black Forest Industries® - Crankcase Oil Separator Essential Kit EK

I first saw this product being on Y. T. being installed on a VW by the humble mechanic and then researched how carbon is built up in the air intake system of cars. I ordered this product and when I received it I was impressed by the quality (it should be for the price, LOL). My VW EOS is a project car right now so have not gotten to install the oil can yet, and will give update when I get some miles with this product. P.S. I wish the drain at bottom of can had a valve and not a plug.
