The idea of a sunroof sounds great: Open it up and experience the sunshine and fresh air while you cruise. Then you open the sunroof and reality sets in, with wind noise and buffeting so deafening you can’t hear the radio or other passengers, and so much turbulence you feel like you’re in a wind tunnel. The Windflector Classic Sunroof Wind Deflector reduces wind noise, buffeting, and turbulence so you can enjoy quiet, serene open air motoring in vehicles with sliding sunroofs.

The Windflector is made of rugged reinforced acrylic that is UV and scratch resistant, with an attractive smoke finish and aerodynamic design that will be a stylish enhancement to any vehicle. AVS uses a higher grade acrylic material than most other manufacturers, which means the Windflector will hold its smoke finish longer, and is just the right thickness to be strong yet flexible for a perfect fit.

The Windflector installs quickly and easily with 3M acrylic foam tape, and no drilling is required. This tape is so effective it’s used by the automobile manufacturers to attach trim parts at the factory. Because no drilling is required, there’s no need to worry about rust forming at a hole. The foam core allows the tape to expand and contract with temperature changes and conform to surface irregularities. Installation is not only simpler; there are no unsightly fasteners to deal with. Just clean the surface according to the included instructions, then remove the backing from the tape and press the Windflector into place.

You can run your car or truck through the car wash with the Windflector installed; however automatic “brush-style” car washes should be avoided. The Windflector comes with everything required for installation, including detailed instructions, and it’s covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original purchaser as long as he or she owns the vehicle on which the product is installed.

AVS® is the innovator of the auto Ventshade, first produced in 1935 to mount above a car window to keep rain out and let fresh air in. What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship except paint and painting on all Lund International, Inc.'s Lund International, AVS®, Lund®, Nifty® and Deflecta-Shield® Accessories branded products properly installed per provided instructions except those listed below under the One-Year Warranty, Two-Year Warranty or Three-Year Warranty. This warranty does not apply to any product from Lund International's direct or indirect subsidiaries. For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the product is installed. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Limited One-Year Warranty

Limited Three-Year Warranty

What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship except paint and painting on the Stainless Interceptor™, Folding Aluminum Ramp, Factory Color Match Wind Deflectors, Folding Aluminum Arched Ramp, Bi-Fold Ramps and Tri-Fold Ramps properly installed per provided instructions. For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last three years from the date of purchase. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Deflector

Pleased with this purchase, previous review said it was helpful if the edges of where the deflector go should marked with tape this was a tremendous help as my Nissan is a tall vehicle. I would recommend this product and this vendor to my friends.

Piece of Cake

I have to install this every couple of years on a new car for a client's lease vehicle, (he has to have it). It's a small investment for a happy customer, but makes a huge difference in noise and wind interference. The other reason my client likes it is so that he can easily find his car in a crowded parking lot.

AVS 77004 Sunroof Wind Deflector

AVS 77004 sunroof wind deflector on my new 2012 Toyota Sienna XLE "Swagger Wagon" is a great look! It was fairly easy to install, except I choose a day in the Houston area that was 95+ degrees! The main suggestion I'd have to interested parties is to be sure you get one that is plenty wide enough to cover the opening. Nothing would look dumber than to have it not completely cover the width of the sunroof. I ordered a little wider and I like that look, although I don't think anyone can really tell one way or another. I'd suggest to order it a little wider to ensure the wind to go around the opening. When I was first measuring, I got concerned that it had to be exact, but after getting the unit, I'm glad I ordered a little wider.
