The idea of a sunroof sounds great: Open it up and experience the sunshine and fresh air while you cruise. Then you open the sunroof and reality sets in, with wind noise and buffeting so deafening you can’t hear the radio or other passengers, and so much turbulence you feel like you’re in a wind tunnel. The Windflector Classic Sunroof Wind Deflector reduces wind noise, buffeting, and turbulence so you can enjoy quiet, serene open air motoring in vehicles with sliding sunroofs.

The Windflector is made of rugged reinforced acrylic that is UV and scratch resistant, with an attractive smoke finish and aerodynamic design that will be a stylish enhancement to any vehicle. AVS uses a higher grade acrylic material than most other manufacturers, which means the Windflector will hold its smoke finish longer, and is just the right thickness to be strong yet flexible for a perfect fit.

The Windflector installs quickly and easily with 3M acrylic foam tape, and no drilling is required. This tape is so effective it’s used by the automobile manufacturers to attach trim parts at the factory. Because no drilling is required, there’s no need to worry about rust forming at a hole. The foam core allows the tape to expand and contract with temperature changes and conform to surface irregularities. Installation is not only simpler; there are no unsightly fasteners to deal with. Just clean the surface according to the included instructions, then remove the backing from the tape and press the Windflector into place.

You can run your car or truck through the car wash with the Windflector installed; however automatic “brush-style” car washes should be avoided. The Windflector comes with everything required for installation, including detailed instructions, and it’s covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original purchaser as long as he or she owns the vehicle on which the product is installed.

AVS® is the innovator of the auto Ventshade, first produced in 1935 to mount above a car window to keep rain out and let fresh air in. In testimony to its effectiveness, the Ventshade is still manufactured by AVS today, albeit in a much more modern form. What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship except paint and painting on all Lund International, Inc.'s Lund International, AVS®, Lund®, Nifty® and Deflecta-Shield® Accessories branded products properly installed per provided instructions except those listed below under the One-Year Warranty, Two-Year Warranty or Three-Year Warranty. This warranty does not apply to any product from Lund International's direct or indirect subsidiaries. For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the product is installed. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Limited One-Year Warranty

The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Limited Three-Year Warranty

What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship except paint and painting on the Stainless Interceptor™, Folding Aluminum Ramp, Factory Color Match Wind Deflectors, Folding Aluminum Arched Ramp, Bi-Fold Ramps and Tri-Fold Ramps properly installed per provided instructions. For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last three years from the date of purchase. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Wind Deflector

Classic Sunroof Wind Deflector

I love it! The installation was quick and easy and the results are amazing! I love how quiet it is now in the car with the sunroof open. I no longer have to "vent" the back windows to cut down on noise and wind circulation.

Noise Reduction

AVS® 77003 - Windflector™ Smoke Classic Sunroof Windflector

At first I was skeptical about the value of this but I am convinced. Prior to installation the noise with the sunroof open was too much. This reduced it considerably. Makes me want to open the sunroof more often..
