Happy Customer

Purchased this hood as a replacement to the stock one on my S10. The hood fits just fine and very happy with it. The only negative is there was glue from the bubble wrap on the cowl portion that was hard to remove. The hood arrived undamaged, promptly and was slightly cheaper than going through jegs or summit. Thanks!

Excellent Price, Quality, And Customer

I was surprised to finally find a place to order a god quality steel hood from someplace! The first one that showed up was dented up. I got a refusal of deliver confirmation number called customer support and talked to them, they had a new one ordered for me and sent out fast! The new one showed up and it looks great! I couldn't be happier with my new steel cowl hood!

Looks Good But Fit is Off

Hood looks great. But fitment is off on the rear corners, some time aligning and it came out ok. Not show quality alignment but good.

Cowl Hood

Auto Metal Direct® - TriPlus™ Cowl Induction Hood Panel

I gave it 5 stars because after we got it painted, it looks awesome on the suburban. It came scratched, would have put it on with just the primer, but had to get it painted. Perhaps this is a given in the industry, but all it would have took was some plastic or foam between the cardboard and the hood to prevent this. They (CARiD) did offer me a paltry $30 US as compensation, I didn't bother. The body guy also claimed to see 2 dents in it, I took his word for it though I really couldn't see them, and it was never an issue for me. All the latches etc bolted on in place, fit right in the truck nicely, got the molded insert for it. Altogether after US/CAN conversion, import/delivery fees, rent to take to paint shop, getting it painted about $1100 Canadian. Worth it? Debatable. Looks good on my Suburban.
