Stainless Steel Limited 1-Year Warranty

Armordillo USA offers the original purchaser a limited 1-year warranty from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover shipping damage, misuse, mishandling, road hazards, product modifications, or discoloration. This warranty does not cover cost for installation, removal, labor or shipping. This warranty only applies to new products installed on the original vehicle. The warranty covers the replacement or repair of any part or parts that are defective. If you live in an area that uses salt or other harsh chemicals for snow and ice removal, it is very important that you keep your bars clean. If you allow salt and other harsh snow and ice removing chemicals to stick to your bars, this may cause your bars to rust prematurely and will void your warranty (warranty will be voided under product neglect) Keep your step bars, grill guards, and bull bars clean of salt and other snow removing chemicals. DO NOT use any chemicals, even those meant to protect the product, on the product without consulting Armordillo USA first. Failure to do so will void your warranty. Armordillo USA warranty specifically excludes defects resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, modification, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, submersion, theft, vehicle crash, or by any other type of impact. Great Addition to Vehicle

Armordillo® - 4" Oval Side Steps

Wish I had bought these years earlier. Shipping boxes were solid and materials were in excellent condition. The process to mount was a little challenging because the mounting holes on the frame had become corroded, so get plenty of oil and run the bolts up and down on the threads a few times before committing to the final mounting. Over the last 8 years the mounting brackets have slowly bent backwards but have not interfered with the wheel space. But I do need new brackets to re-align the side steps before they get too close to the wheels. Overall, I would recommend getting these to anyone considering this addition to their vehicle.

Looks Good When Mounted/Adjusted but...

Armordillo® 7159747 - 4" Cab Length Black Oval Side Steps

The mounting brackets for these weren't a perfect fit for my 2002 Tacoma Crew Cab Prerunner. The middle mounting bolts could slip right through, so I had to get some additional washers that werent in the kit (but were mentioned in the directions as needing "two" for each middle bolt. When attempting in the driveway, it was extremely difficult to align and get set. So I contacted the support team for their help. They wanted me to try again taking pictures as I went, which I did, but this time I went to an auto hobby shop and rented a space/lift. Basically you have to barely attach the mounts, then attach the steps to get them "aligned." You can tighten the mounts up after (warping the mounts slightly) so that they look straight. Compared to the Westin products (i.e. bull bar up front), these were kind of like a cheap knock off that werent any cheaper. I wish they had still had the Westin 3" tubes when I was buying this for my 16 year old. They look good enough to make my son happy, and the improvising in getting them mounted at least provided some quality time for the father/son install team.
