Warranty

APG Grilles have a limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase required. This limited warranty does not include normal wear and tear and is void if product shows evidence of misuse, abuse, accident, collision, road hazard, improper installation and/or maintenance or modification.

This warranty is limited to the repair and /or replacement of the product only at the discretion of APG Grilles. Grease and dirty particles will corrode even the highest quality stainless steel given enough time. Most accessories require regular maintenance. For APG Grille products, they recommend normal cleaning using mild soap and water and use of a non-abrasive aluminum/stainless steel polish on a continual basis taking into consideration your climate and driving conditions. Never use steel wool or metal brushes to clean your grille, also avoid using abrasive cleaning agents to clean your grilles.

APG Tonneau Covers have a lifetime limited warranty on the frame: against defective materials or workmanship on all Aluminum rails, aluminum components, clamps, hinges, bows and hardware. 5-Year on the tarp: against defective materials or workmanship on the vinyl cover. Warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, unreasonable use, modification, neglect, improper service or installation.

Running Boards for Transit

APG® IB06EDJ5A - 5" iStep Silver Running Boards

First step is trim clip removal. Could not do with the instructions provided. Had to go to Ford and get a clip to understand how they work. Frustrating. Next step was to install a toggle style bolt. Impossible because the kit included lock nuts although instructions called for plain nuts and lock washers. Had to buy the proper nuts and washers locally. Lots of drilling - 3/8 and 7/16 holes although person I called before ordering said drilling was not required. Finished brackets did not line up so I attempted to shim. Shimming difficult because T bolts that hold the boards to brackets too short to permit enough shimming there. With a lot of adjusting able to get them pretty close to right. 5 inch board too narrow on Transit. Wish I had gone with the 6" board. Once on, they look nice and feel sturdy.

Good So Far

APG® - 5" iStep Running Boards

I put these on my 22 Durango SXT. Installation was fairly simple, though I did need a second set of hands occasionally throughout the installation. I have the plastic rocker guards that run from the front fender well to the back fender well. This was part of the reason I only gave 4 stars. The mounting brackets probably need to be 1/2 inch to a full inch longer to keep the running board off the plastic rocker guard. I used all the adjustment that the brackets would allow, but the boards are riding on the plastic in about the area just below the hinge of the back door. And this is true with both the driver and passenger side. It’s not enough of an issue for me to make me return them, but more of a warning to any future shoppers who may find they would not like the board riding on the plastic. Overall they do look good, and will help the shorter ones in my family in and out of the Durango.

Vehicle Specific?

APG® - 5" iStep Running Boards

I bought the APG running boards for my 2013 Equinox and expected that after the installation that they would fit like the product picture of the red equinox. The installation is pretty easy and took me about 3 hours, but I work slowly. These boards are 79" long and after installation the board will extend beyond the rear wheel arch a few inches (see pictures). Also, with the brackets my vehicle lost about an inch of ground clearance, which for me isn't a big deal since I am driving on paved roads 99% of the time. The boards are a good value, nice looking, and sturdy. I recommend measuring the lower rocker panel before purchasing.
