The windshield washer pump in my '95 Civic made the whirring noise but no fluid was squirting out. Checked the lines and they were clear so I figured the impeller on my original 27 year old pump had broken. Had to jack up the car, take off the front driver's side wheel, and partially remove the heavy plastic fender well protector to get access to the pump. Was difficult to pry the old one out and the fluid I couldn't siphon from the reservoir splashed everywhere once I pulled it free.
This new ANCO 6730 pump was a perfect fit. Decided to replace the washer fluid hose line while I was at it. Clipped on the electrical plug, snapped the pump into the reservoir, attached the hose line, put in washer fluid to check for leaks, and tested it. Worked perfectly. Refit the fender cover, put the wheel back on, took the car off the jack stands, and called it a day. Hopefully, this replacement will last as long as the original one did!
