This system is a direct bolt-on installation which requires no cutting or drilling to provide a hassle-free installation. Thick 1-piece flanges and OE-style gaskets are used to prevent warpage to ensure a leak-free seal over the life of the vehicle. Tube lengths are optimized for true pulse control technology which improves flow and performance. aFe has designed the performance connection pipes retain all your factory sensors for a hassle free installation. These connection pipes are a direct bolt-on installation which requires no cutting or drilling to provide a hassle-free installation. The performance connection pipes are constructed of durable 3" CNC mandrel bent, stainless steel tubing for maximum performance, corrosion resistance and strength eliminating cracking.
Headers are one of the most common methods of improving an engine's performance. Stock exhaust manifolds create backpressure, restricting exhaust flow, because more than one cylinder shares the manifold. With headers, each cylinder has its own exhaust pipe. But all headers are not created equal. Many are made of plain steel that will rust and corrode. The head flanges may be thin, causing exhaust leaks. And there may be no thought to the shape or length of the header tubes other than fitting in the engine bay. Not so for aFe Twisted Steel Headers.
aFe optimizes the header tube lengths for maximum flow and velocity. Mitered collectors extend the tube length into the flange, which decreases turbulence and increases exhaust velocity. Pulse control technology improves flow, increases horsepower and torque, and improves throttle response.
Twisted steel headers are constructed from CNC mandrel-bent 14-16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing for maximum performance, corrosion resistance, and strength, to eliminate cracking.
aFe® (Advanced Flow Engineering, Inc.) manufactures performance products for late model cars, light trucks and SUVs. The company was founded in 1999 with an initial concentration on high performance air filters. Since then, the company product line has broadened to include cold air intakes, fluid filters, exhaust systems, intake manifolds, intercoolers, programmers, differential covers, transmission pans and throttle body spacers. The team of engineers, machinists, production and sales people at aFe® have many years of experience in their respective positions, and together work to ensure they produce the best automotive products on the market.
