Wheel Spacers & Adapters

We’d be happy to set you up with a wheel & tire package that’s perfect for your car or truck, one that puts the most rubber on the road for optimal traction and handling, delivers an awesome appearance and perfect tire-to-fender gap and stance that makes you look over your shoulder when walking away from your ride, doesn’t hit the frame or suspension and gives you the clearance needed for a big brake kit. But if budget constraints means you have to roll with what you have - wheels that may not have the ideal offset or the right bolt pattern, we have the spacers or adapters that can make them work.

Wheel spacers position the wheels further away from the hubs. Doing this can give you the clearance you need to run a wheel & tire combo that would otherwise rub on the frame or springs, and/or give you the clearance you need to install the larger diameter brake rotors and aftermarket calipers that come in a performance brake kit. Spacers can also push the tires outward so they’re flush with the fenders for the ideal stance, and to widen the track, which increases stability for better handling. Adapters both space the wheels out and allow wheels with a different bolt pattern to be mounted.

We offer a large selection of spacers in a range of widths and in all common bolt patterns, so you can get the ones that will position your wheels exactly where you want them. Thin spacers of 8mm or less may be able to be used with the standard length studs or bolts if enough thread is available for safe wheel fitment. A thicker brake rotor in a big brake kit and wheel thickness are other variables that must be considered. Some kits may include longer bolts or studs, or the length that must be used for safe wheel installation may be specified, so you can measure and decide. Thicker spacers generally push the wheels too far out to enable use of the stock studs/bolts, and these usually come with studs installed or include longer bolts according to application.

Hub centric rims locate the center of the wheel on a flange projecting from the center of the hub. These wheels must be centered this way to prevent runout and vibration. We offer spacers that are also hub centric to maintain wheel balance. They fit over the hub flange and have a projection to locate the wheel the same way. And if you can get a good price on a great set of wheels, but they have the wrong bolt pattern for your vehicle, you may not have to pass up the deal if you get a set of our wheel adapters. Adapters bolt to your vehicle’s wheel studs and have studs that allow mounting of wheels with a different bolt pattern. In addition to converting bolt patterns there are also adapters that allow mounting of wheels with a different number of lugs.

In the past, some poor quality spacers and adapters have made some enthusiasts leery of using them. You don’t have to worry about the strength and durability of our spacers and adapters. They’re made of lightweight but durable aluminum, and precision machined to the specific size to ensure proper fitment and dimensional accuracy. Most are anodized to prevent corrosion. The wheel spacers and adapters you’ll find on our digital shelves are a safe and economical alternative to custom wheels. They can space your factory wheels out closer to the fender to get the right look, allow a set of larger tires to be installed without rubbing, or enable a set of aftermarket wheels with not quite the right offset and/or bolt pattern to fit in your wheel wells and look great.
