It was a full-size pickup truck still based on the platform of its predecessor, the Pickup Truck (Hilux), featuring the same engine and suspension. The new model had a bigger body if compared with its main competitors such as the Dodge Dakota. The vehicle appeared to be rather successful with consumers, though its production was discontinued in 1998.
