Porsche 968 Starting & Charging

Porsche marketed the 968 model in the mid-1990s. Positioned as a luxury sports car to supersede the Porsche 944 in the brand’s lineup of 2-door coupes, the 968 shared about 20 percent of parts with its predecessor. The 968 model was outfitted with a powerful 16-valve 3.0-liter I4 or turbocharged 8-valve I4 of the same displacement, which were combined with a 6-speed manual or 4-speed Tiptronic gearbox. The powerplant was located in front, yet the car had rear-wheel drive, and it was the last model with such a configuration before the launch of the Cayenne in 2003.

The Porsche 968 is a reliable vehicle, but no auto is immune to occasional problems.
