A load rating refers to a maximum allowable weight that a given wheel has been tested and rated at. All wheels can be rated differently, for instance the wheels on a passenger car will require a smaller load rating than the wheels on a heavier SUV. A vehicle manufacturer will give a standard GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) to each of its vehicles. This rating is the maximum allowable weight for a fully loaded vehicle which includes passengers and extra equipment. At that point each of the wheels is tested and rated according to the GVWR of all the vehicles they were meant to be mounted on.
The offset is the distance from the mounting face of the wheel, where it mounts against the wheel hub, and the center line of the wheel's width. It is a vital technical aspect of your wheel and your car.
Handling can be improved by running larger wheels. Larger wheels mean you will run a low profile tire, and usually, a wider tire. A low profile tire often performs better when cornering and braking, as tire roll is greatly reduced. A low profile tire will result in a stiffer ride.
Extremely large wheels, such as 24'' and 26" wheels, are heavier and can increase braking distances. However, Tuff will always endeavor to keep the wheels as light as possible without compromising the strength of the wheel.
PCD stands for Pitch Circle Diameter, and is a measure of the wheel stud/bolt hole locations. The PCD is a circle with its center at the center of the face of the wheel. The centers of the mounting holes are equally spaced around this circle. So for example, a 4x100 mm PCD means four mounting holes, equally spaced around a 100 mm diameter circle form the center of the wheel.
Wheels are unconditionally warranted for a period of one year from the date stamped on the product against defects of materials or workmanship such as peeling, flaking, or blistering of chrome plating.
This warranty does not cover corrosion or any type of discoloration due to use of chemicals, detergents, polishing compounds, or coarse abrasives used in cleaning. Automatic car washes are not recommended.
These warranties are void if wheels are damaged with nicks from improper tire mounting, improper installation, accident, curb damage, normal wear and tear, neglect, or road impact.
These Warranties Are Not Transferable
All warranty returns do not cover any return freight charges, misuse, towing charges, negligence, road hazard, improper mounting, improper alignment, off-road use, improper weight, or high speed travel. The warranties also do not assume any responsibilities for diagnosis, removal, balancing, or cost of installation labor.
These wheels were designed to fit on Trucks. Of course we always recommend test fitting for proper fitment prior to mounting of tires, especially on heavily modified vehicles.
