Hood Shocks by Tuff Support®. The bodies of Tuff Support's are made of high quality seamless tubes, treated with phosphate before painting to increase protection against corrosion, and help the special grade paint adhere to the body of the gas spring strongly. The rods are machined on centerless grinding and polishing machines and also treated with centerless rollers to obtain a smooth surface for the long life cycle that Tuff Support springs have. Rod diameters are checked with lasers for imperfections and diameter fluctuations to meet OEM specs. Rods are heat treated and nitrated for hardening and resistance to corrosion. Internal components such as seals, washers and o-rings are procured from suppliers who are TS16949 and ISO9001 certified manufacturers.

Tuff Support® range of gas springs and lift supports was originally developed in 1995 with the purpose of providing the aftermarket with a full range of gas springs applications in the country markets where we have been serving. To be able to help our customers with a reliable product, up to date product range, and timely deliveries we have decided to establish our own manufacturing facility in Bursa Turkey. Bursa is the Detroit of Turkey, where automotive manufacturing in Turkey had started. Tuff Support® ISO9001 and TS16949 certified manufacturing facility was established in 2005 with the vision and goal of becoming a leader in the aftermarket gas spring market, and also work with the OEM market in the area of product development, co-design, and provide gas spring solutions as a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier. The manufacturing systems employed in our facility were designed, and engineered with the help of our friends in the OEM sector so that one day we could meet their needs, and become a solution provider for them. As of now we have become an OEM supplier.
