TRAC was started by Tom Rogers in his basement in 1998. He saw the need for better, smarter, and more effective designs of the equipment and gear used by boaters and fishermen at the time, and began developing new constructions and addressing drawbacks in the existing ones. The result is the current range of products that help boaters enjoy their time on the water instead of struggling with devices which are not capable or convenient enough. The company now operates from its headquarters outside Nashville, Tennessee.
