SRP Pistons was founded by JE Pistons known as a leader in designing performance forged and billet racing pistons. With a long history of manufacturing pistons and components that professional mechanics, race teams, and DIYers rely on, JE Pistons has constantly expanded its product line providing customers with innovative, high performance parts. SRP (Sportsman Racing Products) was introduced by JE Pistons as a brand of affordable yet high-quality forged pistons. SRP forged pistons brought the company great popularity.

Today all units are built from 4032 aluminum alloy by its parent company in the USA. Traditional SRP features include CNC diamond turned skirts, machined oil drain backs, floating wrist pins with spiro locks, and pressure-fed pin oilers. Every performance piston is fully CNC-machined and features radiused symmetrical valve pockets. Built for high-performance applications which require strong yet quiet pistons, these units require less initial piston-to-wall clearance, while being quieter at start-up.

About 10 years ago, the company announced a new addition to its product line – SRP Professional, which is currently known as one of the most advanced off-the-shelf piston lines for race-ready applications. Lightweight FSR forgings are what sets SRP Professional products apart from the rest of the SRP line. The standard features of this product line are skirt coating reduced length 2.250” wrist pins, nitrided ring packages, and accumulator grooves.
