While initially focusing on circle track racing, the Seals-it patented products have enjoyed not only success on the NASCAR circuit, but also became widely popular in such diverse industries as off-road vehicles, agricultural equipment, aircraft ground support, and robotics. Circle track, drag, and street customers rely on Seals-it Economy Seals, which can be used at either end or both ends of the tube, to retain gear oil in the ring and pinion. Off-road enthusiasts also use one at the hub to keep out contaminants from entering the housing. The billet aluminum axle seals from Seals-it have three O-rings that seal them to the axle tube. They also have two bonded, heavy-duty, neoprene inner seals designed to compensate for any amount of axle shaft run out.
The most vivid example of Seals-it innovation is their Drive Plate Seals. In their relentless pursuit of more speed and better handling, certain cup teams determined that a little positive camber in the left rear wheel helped the car turn better. It was a great idea, only that it was a growing number of spline failures as a result of the camber. The camber causes the grease to be displaced from the spline and wheel bearing, resulting in the destruction of either or both. After hearing about the problem, Seals-it product development group set out to develop a seal that would "fix" the problem, and protect the camber advantage. The drive plate seal has proven to be the answer. It is a snap in seal that also provides assurance that proper lubrication will be maintained in all non- cambered rear ends. The drive plate seal from Seals-it is only one of a number of NASCAR products that have years of success.
