While front end accessories like grille guards and bull bars are designed to protect the vehicle from impact, in addition to providing front end protection push bars are commonly fitted to trucks and SUVs operated by police and emergency personnel so they can safely push another vehicle. Push bars are typically used to push disabled vehicles from the roadway, but you don’t have to be involved with law enforcement or public safety to get the rugged looks and protection of a push bar. A disabled vehicle in a traffic lane, no matter whether it’s stopped due to a crash, mechanical failure, or something as simple as running out of gas, can tie up traffic or cause an accident. In such cases, waiting for a tow truck to make its way through the gridlock and arrive at the scene is often not an option. With a push bar, a law enforcement officer can safely push the stranded vehicle out of the traffic lane or to a gas station without incurring any damage to his patrol car. But if you want to mount a winch it doesn’t mean you have to forego having a push bar. We offer a push bar with a built-in winch tray that can accommodate popular winches up to 9500 lbs.
