Nordic Cooling Units began production on June 1, 2002. Its mission was to change the widely held perception that a remanufactured cooling unit is inconsistent and unpredictable in it's quality, fit and performance. From the beginning the company's focus was to replicate the original equipment fit for every model. Nordic addressed this by creating welding jigs and foam pack molds for every model that are functional industrial works of art. The craftsmen who use them on a repeated basis understand and appreciate the importance of every feature which is essential for the creation of each unit.

An equally important focus has been on the consistency of the performance of each remanufactured unit for each end user. Nordic is serious about attention to detail. There are many "little" details, but there are no details the company is willing to let slide; they are all important. The Nordic team shares in the ultimate responsibility for each unit to be at 100% quality in each and every detail. The company has established a culture for this shared responsibility by cross training individuals in multiple areas so they recognize and appreciate the importance of each detail in adding up to a unit that is quite simply the very best.

At Nordic, they believe that their units need to look, fit, and perform like a new original equipment unit and consequently the company focuses its efforts towards that end. The company's research and experience found that different remanufacturers make a variety of claims regarding their processes. But no other remanufacturer comes close to doing it all the way they do at Nordic - with excellence from A to Z. The company found that attention to detail added up to a big difference in both the quality and the consistency of the performance of Nordic units. We structured our production process so that we had multiple sets of eyes on each unit at every step of the way.

Over the years Nordic has continued to improve on the performance of its cooling units. Most notable is the addition of computer calibrated measuring equipment which delivers the correct percentage of ammonia and water mixture for the recharge solution. The company is confident that no other remanufacturer of cooling units comes close to matching the sophistication of its charging process. This equipment and associated processes assure Nordic of a consistent charge mixture with every unit, regardless of factors such as ambient temperature conditions or humidity.
