Whatever the season and road surface, Nitto has the tires that deliver just the right level of performance and durability. With many years of experience in developing and manufacturing premium products for passenger cars, sports cars, SUVs, and vans, the company continues setting standards in the industry. Its product line currently includes a great number of units available in a range of sizes and designs. In addition to its extensive line of standard tire sizes, it also offers a vast range of bigger ones. Yet no matter whether it be 15-inch Nitto tires or any other size, every product is professionally built to meet the highest of customers’ expectations.

Just like other tires on the market, those from Nitto are available in three categories: summer, winter, and all-season. If you live in a moderate climate zone where extremely low and high temperatures are rare, fitting all-seasons built to provide reliable performance in all weather conditions is a perfectly fine approach. Summer tires feature a specific rubber compound and tread design engineered to provide exceptional traction, cornering, and braking in warm climate conditions. However, their rubber composition will harden in cold temperatures, which negatively affects traction. Besides, their tread pattern won’t provide the required grip and control on the snow-covered or icy road. So, when snowfall is probable, don’t wait to switch over to winter tires with wider tread grooves and special tread compound.

Understanding Tires

There is a lot of information on the sidewall of a tire. Typically, you'll find UTQG ratings for treadwear, traction and temperature, the size of the tire, the load rating index number with a speed rating index, the construction type (bias or radial), the D.O.T. compliance code, and construction details. On some tires used as original equipment, you may also find a marking that indicates its OE status.
