The Nissan Skyline is actually one of the most prominent Japanese vehicles and has been around in various body styles for over 5 decades. The production of the Skyline started with the introduction of the Skyline ALSI-1 marketed as a luxury car and built by the Prince Motor Company back in April 1957. The first Skyline featured a 1.5-liter engine producing 60 horsepower. In 1966, Prince and Nissan merged, and from 1967 on, Princes were sold as Nissans or Datsuns. Even though, the Prince division is still alive within Nissan and responsible for today's Skyline lineup including the ALSI-1/ALSI-2/BLRA-3. While not distributed in the United States, the Skyline's popularity in video games, movies and magazines resulted in many such cars being imported there from 1999 to late 2005.

The Skyline has seen 12 generations in its history. It was largely designed and engineered by Shinichiro Sakurai, and he remained the Skyline's chief engineer until 2011. The Skyline is available in various different body styles including a coupé, sedan, station wagon, crossover, convertible and pick up/delivery van. Most Skylines are rear-wheel drive; the four-wheel drive model was available since the eighth-generation's debut. With the release of the R30 Series in 1981, Nissan started to use the R3x naming system. In 1983, the company honored Paul Newman by introducing the high-performance "Paul Newman Version R30" GT-ES turbo.

The Skyline was initially aimed at the luxury department, and through the decades it has consistently maintained its reputation. The sporty Skyline's interior was upgraded in the 1980s with power steering, electric windows, and air-conditioning as standard equipment. Keeping pace with the times and the rapidly changing world the Nissan Skyline introduces incredible innovations, improves performance of its vehicles, without compromising ride comfort.

So before i go over the ISC coilovers i bought for my GTR i just want to let any potential buyers know 2-3 weeks lead time meant 8 weeks lead time so keep that in mind. They ISC coilovers look nice with the gold and black look. The design seems simple and the construction seems okay. The ride so far seems good, it rides stiff but doesnt beat you up and when i hit bumps it stays planted. I havent played with the adjustments much. But i do have the front at 17 and the rear at 14. I figured generally in the middle of the 32 steps it has would be good. I did have the street sport ordered in my case. Over all im happy with how they preform but extremely disappointed at how long it took to get them.
