The Mitsubishi Colt that’s sitting in your garage is an excellent subcompact car. Its spark plugs can be considered some of the most crucial parts of the ignition system designed to create sparks that ignite the volatile air-and-fuel mixture thousands and thousands of times each minute. Unfortunately, your auto’s spark plugs tend to wear out with time and mileage, just like all other automotive parts. The most common tell-tale signs of your plugs going bad include carbon buildup on both the main and ground electrodes. Ash deposits are another issue, with light-brown crud forming all over the spark plugs’ surface area.

Also, oil fouling causes problems, especially if the valve guides or piston rings are leaking motor oil into the combustion chambers. Gap bridging is also fairly detrimental, with soot building up in-between the spark plugs’ main and ground electrodes. If your plugs overheat, then they can get blistered, while being coated in dry white deposits. Pre-ignition can quickly damage both of your spark plugs’ electrodes giving them a brownish color. Detonation and mechanical damages can easily spell the end to these components. Regardless of the case, replace your Mitsubishi Colt spark plugs with suitable substitutes purchased in our online store!
