Manley Performance Engine Parts

Manley

Manley Performance, Inc. is globally recognized as the leading manufacturer of performance valves, cylinder head components, push rods, drive and oil systems, connecting rods, and many more highly-efficient engine components. The company was established in 1966 by Hank Manley, shortly after his graduation from Brown University. Initially, the company's product line included stainless valves, forged pistons, lifters, camshafts, vanadium valve springs, timing chain kits, and push rods. After 50 years, Manley continues to re-define itself in the ever-evolving aftermarket industry.

By 1988, Manley had outgrown its first Bloomfield facility and several acres were bought in Lakewood, New Jersey for the building of a new factory. Ten years later, the production space was doubled. Connecting rods were now made in the plant along with a line of Platinum Series forged pistons. In 2002, Manley entered the high-performance passenger car market as an OEM supplier of connecting rods for the 2003/2004 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra. Production capacity has grown to 2500 rods per week. Manley's presence in the OEM market continued as a supplier for the Ford GT.

The reason for Manley's overwhelming success is simple: it's the ultimate quality of all the products the company makes. The manufacturer utilizes exclusive, highest grade materials that its competitors do not possess. Designed for the enthusiast preparing a stock or partually modified street engine, or a bracket racer looking for maximum bang for the buck, the Street or Performance Series valves are the ultimate solution. These reliable valves are also offered in Street Flo versions ensuring significant flow gains without head porting. All valves in both these series feature hard tips, chrome stems, swirl polished unde rhead areas, and fully machined combustion faces. Manley stems are hard-coated with .0002'' thick chrome rather than a few millionths of flash.

Today, Manley maintains its leadership role in the traditional V-8 engine business and constantly provides its new products for such engine applications as sport compact, Ford Modular, and Chevy LS. Crankshafts, a wide range of connecting rods and pistons, larger diameter push rods as well as new valve and valve spring offerings are just a few products to name that are available in a new Manley collection. The Manley custom Gen II stainless valve program is still the most comprehensive in the industry. The valve head and under head shapes have been in the forefront of the quest for improved flow since the late 1960’s. Today, significant developments within the Manley valve line include lighter weight designs, improved stem coating, and greater shelf stock offerings.
