This new advanced system is based on durable construction made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The rotationally-molded tube reduces restrictions which helps increase the volume of airflow to the engine and provides a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. The heart of the system is a washable and reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. With this system installed, you can gain up to 8 horsepower and enjoy almost 11 lbs./ft. of torque gains. This intake provides a better throttle response and improves engine sound.
K&N specialists came up with an oversized filter featuring a conical design allowing for up to 100,000 miles intervals between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. To insulate the hot air from the engine bay and prevent it to get into the intake, a custom heat shield was introduced. The installation process is quick and easy. Typically, you can install the entire system yourself using only basic hand tools in less than 90 minutes.
